Choros

We were tasked with creating a game for arcade machines during our one week sprint, that would allow for monetization. We came up with Choros a narrative metroidvania adventure game where the player explores a derelict space station uncovering the tragedy that once took place.

GOALS

Monetization: Have oxygen become a scarce resource. The player can use pick ups to refill oxygen or use coins to buy it back.


LEVEL SETUP

  • Provide background story through terminals and important information via data pads 

  • Challenge player to conserve oxygen when moving around

  • Puzzle gameplay 

  • Have 7 different rooms each with a different challenge
